Laura Carr

Laura is a Chartered Legal Executive Advocate and is Children Law accredited which means she is able to represent both adults and children within care and private law proceedings. Laura has a degree in Law and Early Years studies which places her at a unique advantage when representing children as she has a comprehensive understanding of the emotional, psychological and physical development of children. Laura has been recognised as an “outstanding professional” in the Legal 500 (2018) and an “Exceptional advocate” in the Legal 500 (2019).

Laura specialises in acting for children, parents, grandparents and other family members within care proceedings and has a particular interest in acting for carers with learning difficulties. She has an in-depth knowledge of all family law matters including all aspects of public and private law proceedings. She has extensive advocacy experience, including conducting hearings of a complex nature such as issues of forced medical treatment and where there are allegations of non-accidental injuries and has been accredited as a Chartered Legal Executive Advocate. This means she is able to represent her clients at all stages of Court proceedings.
